Request Help

Are you a rescue group or individual with a rescue dog in need of financial assistance for medical care costs? We may be able to help!!!The Southwest Michigan Husky Club strives to raise funds to help dogs with high cost medical needs in rescue situations (i.e. taken in by a rescue group/organization or an individual). If you have a dog in need, below is an application to request help. Please print and complete the application. Send it with a copy of the medical records and estimate from the vet for the procedure or treatment needed. Also, we will require a photo of the dog (for the website and printed materials).FAQ:1. Do I have to be a member of The Southwest Michigan Husky Club? No, you do not need to be a member of SWMHC. We would encourage you to join however!2. Does the dog in need have to be a husky? No, the dog does not need to be a husky.3. Do I need to be with a 501(c)3 organization? Not necessarily. We place priority on rescue groups that have 501(c)(3) status. But it isn't necessary. Rescue dogs of all types are all able to apply for assistance.4. I took in a dog on my own . Can you still help? We may be able to help! We look at each case individually and on a "case-by-case" basis. 5. How long does the process take? We can usually get back to someone as to whether or not we can help within 48 hours. 6. Do you have funds available or will you fundraise for the dog? If we have funds available to help, we will use those funds first. We would be happy to help raise funds for a specific dog in need when needed.
